TechSmith Relay (Discontinued June 2018)

The version of TechSmith Relay used at MiraCosta College is long out of date, and the server is no longer available as of June 4, 2018.

Recommended alternatives:

  • For screencasting: MiraCosta has an institutional license for TechSmith’s Snagit and Camtasia products. You may wish to view more information on these tools, including how to have them installed on your campus and/or home computers.
  • For storing and streaming your videos: All MiraCosta faculty have access to 3C Media Solutions, an ad-free service of the California Community Colleges that also provides free professional captioning of videos you upload. Learn more about 3C Media Solutions.

If you used TechSmith Relay, it is advised to remove the software from your computer.

See directions on uninstalling TechSmith Relay to learn how to completely uninstall the Relay Recorder from various operating systems. These instructions will remove any files that TechSmith Relay created including any queued jobs for processing.

For on-campus computers, open a ticket with the AIS helpdesk or call the Employee Helpdesk at 760-795-6850 for assistance with removing the TechSmith Relay Recorder.
