Blackboard Mobile Learn Free for Faculty and Students
Please note: Anyone who was using Blackboard Mobile Learn prior to June 2015 will need to re-connect it to MiraCosta’s Blackboard system following the system update. Try repeating steps 2-4 below; if that doesn’t work you may need to clear the application’s cache or reinstall it.
Many Blackboard functions which don’t work well through a mobile browser can be used with the app. Students can receive push notifications about class activity, check grades and assignments, view documents, create discussion and blog posts, and more. Instructors can post announcements, respond to discussions, and upload content to their courses.
Many students and faculty have already been using the app, although previously a nominal fee was required to access MiraCosta classes through the app. Starting in April 2015, the app and mobile access to all MiraCosta Blackboard classes is completely free. iOS and Android devices on all carriers and networks can use the application.
